somewhere online within cu’s website are all my classes, each listing a breakdown in grades for like the past ten years. i saw it back when i was registering but now that i need it i can't find it. i wanted to see how many people fail my econ class in a given semester because i have a feeling that i will soon become that statistic. basically i’m given 4 and a half days to do the econ homework, but i will start on it, get frustrated, and move on to my other classes. this happens throughout most of the 4 and a half days, usually up to 10 minutes before it’s due; sometimes finished, sometimes not.
i put in about four or five solid days of homework a week, which leaves far too little time to run or work out. all there is time for is eating and wfmu. the dining room table is my little area i spend all day at and is horrible because of it’s close proximity to the fridge. i’m finally going to pick up some new kicks this week so i’m excited. hopefully they will get me running more routinely.
A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984): crazy guy with the funniest one-liners terrorizes kiddies in their dreams with freakin' blades on each finger. they had a special showing of this down in denver and it had been years since i saw it, so i couldn't pass it up. oh, and thanks to the three fools that bailed on me that night. well, two bailed, one was just too scared. so it takes about 5 minutes into the movie to figure out the entire plot. strangely the acting is pretty believable throughout. the first murder that takes place is one of the most gruesome deaths you'll ever see. there wasn't much, but every now and then they would slip a joke in and it would usually be really funny. like, "oh god i look twelve years old." (reading that now i'm not sure why that was funny, but it really was at the time.) my complaints: cheesy synth scary music. and whenever the lead girl was about to cry, it looked like she was grinning wildly. other than that she did good and i'm really surprised this movie didn't make her famous. also johnny depp was awesome. after the credits were over we had the pleasure of watching every murder by freddy from all six sequels, which added up to 32 deaths and a bus full of about a dozen or so kids driving off of a cliff. good times. anyway, it's a pretty decent horror flick and definitely worth seeing once every twenty or so years.
memorable, B+
what a shame for cu. they were so close to beating georgia but ended up losing by a point. except for about the last 40 seconds, they even led throughout the whole game. this saturday we are playing missouri and i thought we could totally beat them but this week they entered the rankings. so now we will probably lose and be 0 and 5.
happy anniversary to us.
